Originally from Albania, Xhovan Dimo has won international competitions and performed as Principal Clarinet with various orchestras including the Orchestra of the Americas, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Jalisco in Mexico, and the Italian Clarinet Consort. His mentors during the 2023 NACO Mentorship Program were Kimball Sykes and Sean Rice.

A clarinet player originally from Albania, he has had an active and prolific career from the start, winning international competitions such as First Prize in Chamber Music category at the XIIº International Competition "Città di Pesaro", first Prize in Soloist category at Xº International Competition “Luigi Zanuccoli”, Rotary Club Award for the Best Student of the 13’/14’ Academic Year, just to name a few.
He has performed as Principal Clarinet, E-flat clarinet and soloist with various orchestras, such as The Orchestra of the America, Philharmonic Orchestra of Jalisco in Mexico, National Symphony Orchestra of Colombia, Orchestra Maderna di Forlì in Italy, National Theater of Opera and Ballet of Tirana in Albania, Italian Clarinet Consort among others, also he counts with several records in Contemporary music and other genres as Electro Swing, Hard Rock, Dixieland and Latín Jazz Music.
He holds a Bachelor degree in Clarinet performance from the Academy of Art of Tirana, and a Master degree in Contemporary Music performance from the conservatory of Cesena, Italy.
Clarinettiste originaire de l’Albanie, Xhovan Dimo mène une carrière prolifique depuis ses tout débuts. Il a remporté plusieurs prix internationaux, dont le Premier Prix dans la catégorie Musique de chambre de la XIIe édition du Concours international Città di Pesaro, le Premier Prix comme soliste de la Xe édition du Concours international Luigi Zanuccoli et le prix du Meilleur élève du Club Rotary lors de l’année scolaire 2013-2014.
Il s’est produit en tant que clarinette solo, clarinette mi bémol et soliste pour divers orchestres, comme l’Orchestre des Amériques, l’Orchestre philharmonique de Jalisco (Mexique), l’Orchestre symphonique national de Colombie, l’orchestre Maderna di Forlì (Italie), le National Theater of Opera and Ballet de Tirana (Albanie) et le Italian Clarinet Consort. Il a participé à plusieurs enregistrements de musique contemporaine, d’électro-swing, de hard rock, de dixieland et de jazz latin, notamment.
Il est titulaire d’un baccalauréat en interprétation (clarinette) de l’Académie des arts de Tirana et d’une maîtrise en interprétation de musique contemporaine du Conservatoire de Cesena, en Italie.
