The NAC’s Michael Gauthier interviews chef Sheila Flaherty for the Resident Chef Series. In this conversation, Sheila shares how a move to Iqaluit helped rekindle her connection to the North and inspired her to develop the skills her ancestors used to both hunt and prepare traditional inuksiutit (country food).  

This enlightening interview was given in September 2020, when Chef Flaherty worked closely with NAC Executive Chef, Kenton Leier, in the creation of a weekend of Inuit cuisine for the Chef’s Table event, as part of the NAC’s Resident Chef series.
