Stéphanie Jasmin’s approach is highly visual: she studied art history in Paris and film in Montréal. Co-director of UBU, she has been Denis Marleau’s dramaturg and artistic associate on all the company’s productions since 2000. She speaks eloquently about the specificity of her work on video design for the stage, and the intimate process of writing her third play, Les dix commandements de Dorothy Dix.

Stéphanie Jasmin holds a degree in art history from the École du Louvre in Paris and another in filmmaking from Concordia University in Montreal. Well known for her video design work, she produces the stage video integrations for the company's productions.
In tandem with Denis Marleau, she directed the opera Le château de Barbe Bleue by Béla Bartók at the Grand Théâtre de Genève (2007) as well as the plays Jackie by Elfriede Jelinek (2009), Le dernier feu by Dea Loher (2013), La ville by Martin Crimp (2014) and Soifs Matériaux by Marie-Claire Blais (2020).
She also wrote and directed Ombres, in 2005, and wrote the text for Les Marguerite(s), in 2018, which she directs with Denis Marleau.
In 2018, she received the prestigious Siminovitch Prize for her design work.
Détentrice d’un diplôme en histoire de de l’art de l’École du Louvre, à Paris, d’un autre en réalisation cinématographique de l’Université Concordia, à Montréal, Stéphanie Jasmin codirige la compagnie UBU aux côtés de Denis Marleau depuis 2000. Reconnue pour son travail de conception vidéo, elle réalise les intégrations vidéo scéniques des créations de la compagnie.
